How it Happens!
Conservation projects are adopted based on local need, how it fits in our Regional Priorities, and how much the local community has committed to accomplishing the goals.
Any person or persons have the right to submit a conservation project proposal through their County Commissioners and/or their Soil & Water Conservation Division Board Supervisors to the WR RC&D Council.
The conservation project proposal is first presented to the County Commissioner and/or S&WCD Board Supervisors. If the project is deemed to have merit, it is then submitted to the WR RC&D Council were it is then reviewed for acceptance.
Once accepted the WR RC&D Council became the fiscal agent between the fund granter and the project execution. Also, a project overseer is assigned to aid in the project execution.
